Terms of Use and App Terms

Effective Date: August 13, 2026

Range Operations is a service of Falconer Operations Group LLC. These Terms cover rangeoperations.com (the "Site") and the Range Master mobile application (the "App"). By using the Site, you accept the Site terms below. By tapping "Agree & enter the app" in Range Master, you accept the App terms below. If you do not agree, do not use the applicable service.

Site use

You may use the Site for lawful personal and business purposes related to evaluating our services. You may not violate law, interfere with Site operation or security, access non-public systems, mass-collect content or contact information, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

Site content is not professional advice

Site content is general information only. Nothing on the Site is professional safety, engineering, legal, insurance, or regulatory advice. Site-specific mapping requires a written agreement, accepted source information, and a defined intended use. Do not rely on Site content alone for safety, design, construction, compliance, or live-fire decisions.

Engaging Range Operations

Submitting a form or inquiry does not create a service agreement. An engagement begins only when the parties accept a written agreement identifying the work, deliverables, intended use, responsibilities, schedule, and fees.

Range Master is a training and planning aid only

Range Master is an informational, educational, training, and planning aid. It displays a generalized reference Surface Danger Zone (SDZ) and related figures to help a user visualize a possible downrange planning footprint. Its output is not a factual statement of actual site or ammunition performance and is not a ballistics calculator, real-world trajectory or impact prediction, shot-placement tool, survey, engineering product, backstop or containment assessment, hunting-safety determination, site approval, or substitute for a site-specific safety assessment.

The App cannot account for every firearm, barrel, load, muzzle angle, slope, terrain feature, weather condition, obstruction, ricochet, equipment issue, person, animal, vehicle, structure, or human action. It does not guarantee where a round will travel, strike, stop, or remain inside the displayed footprint or property.

You are responsible for safety and compliance

Safe firearm handling, range operation, supervision, and compliance with all applicable laws, permits, insurance requirements, range rules, hunting rules, and landowner requirements are your responsibility. Never use the App as the sole basis for a shot or any live-fire decision, and never use it to decide whether or when to fire. Independently identify the target and what is beyond it; confirm the exact ammunition, direction of fire, backstop, terrain, boundaries, roads, structures, people, animals, and current conditions; and keep people clear of the entire danger area.

Activities involving firearms and hunting carry inherent risks of serious injury, death, and property damage. You decide whether to engage in those activities and agree not to rely on the App as a determination that any activity, location, direction, or shot is safe or lawful. This acknowledgment does not waive any right that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

Public ammunition names are plain-language labels for published reference profiles, not a representation that every commercial load with a similar caliber, bullet weight, or marketing description performs the same way. A label that appears to match still does not make the displayed footprint a statement of actual ammunition or site performance, a safety finding, or authorization to fire. Do not use a profile when the planned load does not match its listed assumptions.

Source dimensions are reproduced from AR 385-63/MCO 3570.1D for reference. Range Master is an independent product and is not endorsed, approved, or certified by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of the Army, or U.S. Marine Corps.

Exports are planning records

An export, summary, or figure produced by the App is a planning summary for your own files. It is not a survey, containment finding, site approval, or determination that a property is suitable for live fire. A site-specific decision requires verified site information and qualified review.

Premium and payments

Some features require an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Apple App Store. The product, price, billing period, renewal terms, and included features are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through your App Store account.

Information you record about other people

Range Control lets you record names and shooting activity of people on your range. You are responsible for that information, including providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by law and using it only for legitimate range-management purposes. This information is stored on your device.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful planning and range-management purposes. You may not reverse engineer the App except where law expressly permits it, interfere with its operation, misuse third-party services, bypass purchase controls, or use the App to plan unlawful or reckless activity.

Ownership and availability

The Site, App, design, software, and original content belong to Falconer Operations Group LLC or its licensors. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses. We may modify or discontinue features and may suspend access for misuse. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and App are provided "as is," "as available," and with all faults. The entire risk as to quality, performance, accuracy, and effort is with the user. We disclaim express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site or App is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a specific site, load, use, or condition. Some rights cannot be disclaimed under applicable law.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that sentence and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Falconer Operations Group LLC and Range Operations are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or similar commercial losses arising from use of or inability to use the Site or App. To the extent a monetary cap is permitted, our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for personal injury or death to the extent caused by negligence where such a limit is unlawful, or for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud. These limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to accept these Terms, and legally permitted to engage in the activity you plan. A minor may not independently accept these Terms or operate the App. Where law permits a minor to participate in shooting or hunting, the supervising adult must operate the App and remains responsible.

Third-party links and services

The Site and App may use or link to third-party services. We do not control their content, availability, accuracy, privacy practices, or operation. Third-party materials remain subject to their own terms and licenses.

Apple Standard EULA

Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the license to use the App. These Terms are additional terms between you and Falconer Operations Group LLC. If they conflict, Apple's Standard EULA controls to the extent required.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version will be posted here with an updated effective date. When a material App change requires acceptance, Range Master will show the revised Terms and require acceptance before the user continues.
